The American Association of the Deaf-Blind (AADB) proudly launchd its first Walk-A-Thon to raise funds to help provide Service Support Providers (SSPs) for people who are deaf-blind. This special event will took place June 23rd during AADB’s 2011 National Symposium to be held in Fort Mitchell, KY.

Due to severely restricted access to both visual and communication information, it’s very difficult for people with both sight and hearing limitations to actively participate in many everyday activities which most people take for granted. The SSPs help deaf-blind people by providing visual and communication information. This important information enables deaf-blind individuals to actively and fully participate in networking, workshops, trainings and social activities at our National Symposium.

AADB still needs your help to cover the cost of room and meals for our SSPs who all volunteered their time during this 5-day day event. You can help AADB accomplish this goal:
