The American Association of the Deaf-Blind (AADB) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) national consumer organization of, by, and for deaf-blind Americans and their supporters. “Deaf-blind” includes all types and degrees of dual vision and hearing loss. Our mission is to ensure that all deaf-blind persons achieve their maximum potential through increased independence, productivity, and integration into the community.

Take Action -- Restore the Deaf Blind Technology Back to HR 3101
Take Action Now for the 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act of 2009!
On June 30, 2010, the House Subcommittee on Communications, Technology and the Internet removed Section 105 (b) from HR 3101, the 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act of 2009, which allocates $10 million in funding to help deaf-blind people purchase expensive equipment that will enable them to have access to telecommunications.

2010 Spring Technology Campaign
The American Association of the Deaf-Blind (AADB) proudly kicks off its 2010 Spring Technology Campaign, starting May 25, 2010. Our goal is to to begin a new program of training and education on purchasing new technology equipment. This will be in addition to our current advocacy work on affordable, accessible technology for all deaf-blind people. For more information, please check your mail, email and our website.
