AADB Conference - IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ!

The AADB Office has been extremely busy getting ready for the 2006 conference in Baltimore, MD. At this writing the conference is one-and-a-half months away! The committee chairs, staff, and volunteers are all working very hard to make this an exciting and organized conference.

This E-News contains important information about the conference. Please read carefully if you are planning to attend.

Final Call for Registrations!

Our conference deadline is fast approaching! The last day for all registrations is May 15th. We *must* have all registrations in the office by then to guarantee enough beds and food for everyone.

Remember, we have separate registration forms for full-week delegates, per-day delegates, SSPs, local workers, observers, family members and exhibitors. Everyone who plans to come to AADB's conference must register, whether for the full week or one day. A separate registration form must be filled out for each person.

If you have questions about which registration form to use, have trouble with our forms, or need a form to be sent to you, please email us at aadb-conference@aadb.org.

For your convenience, attached to this E-News are delegate and SSP registration forms. Other registration forms are available on our website. If you are paying by credit card, you may fax your forms to the AADB Office so we can get them quickly; otherwise mail them to the address below. The sooner, the better! Beat the May 15th deadline!

Bring Your Own SSPs

Delegates, please bring your own SSPs if at all possible. This way you can make sure you have SSPs who meet your communication needs. If you are not able to bring your own SSPs, we will do our best to match you with SSPs, but cannot guarantee it.

We received many registrations from Delegates who said they are bringing their own SSPs but we have not received registration forms from their SSPs yet. Please remind your SSP(s) to register ASAP. You can forward them the attached SSP registration form.

Incomplete Registrations

Some of you may receive a phone call or e-mail from an AADB staff member asking you for information that is missing from your registration forms. When you hear from us, please respond ASAP so we can process your registrations.

Some of you have sent in registrations but did not include your travel plans. We need this information ASAP before May 15th so we can have accurate numbers of who will need transportation on the first day of the conference and on the day you return home. If you have already registered but have not made travel arrangements, please do so and e-mail your travel information to aadb-conference@aadb.org or fax it to us at (301) 495-4404. If we do not get your travel plans and you need a ride to the conference, we cannot guarantee we will have space for you. Please send in those travel forms TODAY!

Key Deposits

Participants coming for one or two days and SSPs who register for housing on campus need to pay a $25 refundable key deposit. If you have not already done so, please pay by May 15th. If you have paid for a full week, your conference fee already includes a key deposit. You can receive your key deposit money back, or donate it to AADB when you return your keys on the last day of your stay or the last day of the conference.

Workshops on the Web

A complete workshop schedule and a listing of forums and special group activities is now up on our website and look for more details about our exciting conference activities!

Confirmation Letters

We will be sending out confirmation letters very soon to everyone who registered. These letters will include information about the registration process, housing and tour information, and sign-up sheets for activities and banquet meal preferences. When you get your confirmation letter, please send in your sign-up sheets ASAP with your preferences.
